Though the traditional taxi companies were in a conflict with the giant taxi service providers like Uber and Lyft for their revolutionary approach to taxi industry, they have smartly converted the situation to their benefit. The traditional method of taxi hiring has been ineffectual in terms of the availability of taxis, convenience and ease of payment. The taxi operators have thus adopted the e-hailing method using mobile-based applications.

The facilities that had been overlooked by the traditional taxi companies are now integrated in their system or process to become more competitive and acquire more customers. Uber and Lyft play a key role in transforming the taxi companies worldwide by eliminating the exhausting method of taxi booking and making public transit much easier.

The taxi service providers will be able to respond effectively to a large number of people in demand with no or fewer dispatch flaws. App-based ride services, in the same way, encourage more people to use cabs frequently as they offer better safety features.
